The 2014 Château Larcis Ducasse is a simply gorgeous Saint-Émilion, which is composed of 85 % Merlot and 15 % Cabernet Franc. It begins with pretty aromas of cherries, raspberries and pomegranate, which are woven together with smoldering tobacco, wet stones and floral nuances that take shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses wonderful elegance, as this medium-plus bodied red displays wonderful structure and balance, with lovely acidity. Overall, this is a simply gorgeous wine, however it will need a few more years in bottle before it begins to show its full potential.
