The 2016 Château Larcis-Ducasse is another stunning wine from this estate and looks to be equally impressive, if not a touch better than last years fantastic wine. Composed of 87% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc this begins with striking aromas of fresh red berries and raspberries which come together with savory herbs, minerals and fresh florals. It possesses a medium body with outstanding balance and core of bright acidity which provides plenty of lift and energy to this wine. Elegant and refined this is a simply beautiful Saint-Émilion which is destined for a brilliant future. Readers will need to exercise a high level of patience with the 2016, but will be rewarded handsomely.
