The 2019 Chateau Abelyce instantly begins with aromatics of ripe black cherries and blackberries, which come together with spring florals, toast, exotic spices, mocha and hints of mineral nuances all taking shape. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and beautifully polished with excellent depth and concentration. It possesses a opulent core or ripe dark fruits which is lifted by a lovely underlying acidity, that resonates through the finish. This is a remarkable wine and already showing so much appeal, and while this will likely continue to age beautifully over the course of the next decade, it is drinking beautifully right now.
