CHATEAU FRANC-MAYNE St. Emilion Grand Cru 1990

Cassis was soaring, along tobacco, cherries and some savory herbs on the nose. In the glass, the tobacco became more apparent followed tremendous taste of maraschino cherries, intermingled with chocolate and a slight bit of herbs as well. It was very smooth and any tannins were totally resolved. The wine was completely balanced and the fruit didn't fade even after 3 hours. A great taste for a 23 year old wine. Drink now. - August, 2013 (JR)
