The 1998 Château Le Tertre Rôteboeuf brings aromas of cassis, stones, spearmint, and minerals, soaring out of the glass. This displays a dark purple color with no noticeable bricking around the edges. On the palate, kirsch, truffles, chocolate and intense minerality. The tannins are totally resolved and it has a plush, velvety mouthfeel. The wine has a great mid-palate with chocolate covered cherries and raspberries lingering on the finish. This is an incredibly sexy glass of wine. (Best through 2017) - October, 2013 (JR)
