CHÂTEAU HAUT-BRISSON Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2012

The Château Haut-Brisson is a rock solid effort from the Kwok Family in 2012. Produced from primarily from Merlot with just a touch of Cabernet Franc, this displays a dark, inky color, followed by pretty aromas of black cherries, cassis, vanilla-spice along with stony minerals. It possesses a medium to full body, with a lovely, fine texture, which give it a sense of elegance. It remains beautifully balanced all the way through the velvety finish, leaving behind streaks of black fruits and mineral. This has the potential to last a decade, and will also be approachable early on. (Best 2016-2026) - October, 2015 (JD)
