This wine shows the richness of the 1990 vintage in Sauternes. The wine opens with aromas reminiscent of honeysuckle, apricot, bananas foster and crème brûlée. Nice density and mouthfeel that is fat, almost unctuous. Persisting flavors of golden delicious apple, crème brûlée, poached pear and nutmeg connect with the lovely oily texture. The finish is long and lingering. Impressive effort from this esteemed property. This one requires immediate consumption, as the acid backbone is slowly loosening.
