The 2020 Chateau La Truffe Pomerol begins with inviting aromas of blackberries and dark cherries, which are woven together with exotic spices, tobacco, licorice, earthy nuances and a mocha character adding further complexity. On the palate this is medium-bodied and layered with a beautifully polished texture along with notable balance. It comes to an end with a velvety finish that lingers nicely. This is already accessible and should continue to evolve over the next decade.
