A lovely showing in this vintage, the Château Prieurs de la Commanderie opens with inviting aromatics of ripe blackberries and dark fruits which come together with mocha, minerals and sweet spice nuances all soaring from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied and layered with remarkable overall concentration and depth, yet remains beautifully balanced. Shows nice aging potential, however it is also a lovely Pomerol to approach on the earlier side.
