The 1990 Château Montrose is a remarkable wine composed of 64% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It displays a deep purple color and brings aromas of intense berries with some prune and plum as well. Sweet black fruits and spices emerge on the lush palate surrounded by fine tannins which are totally resolved. Delicious now, but could benefit from additional cellaring. Drink now through 2023. - September, 2013 (JR)
