The 2014 Château Cos d'Estournel is utterly captivating, the blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc is simply lavish. Aromas of black and blue fruits are laced with earth, wet stones, spices and hints of violets. The palate is full and voluptuous, with a gorgeous layered mouthfeel and beautifully polished tannins leading into the long, enveloping finish. This is a simply remarkable Cos, which is already throughly satisfying, however will also thrive gracefully in the cellar. (Best 2019-2033) - October, 2017 (JD)
