The 2019 Chateau Apogée Lalande de Pomerol is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc that begins with fresh inviting aromas of cherries and red berries that come together with spices, toast, tobacco and minerals. The palate is medium-bodied and elegantly structured with fine-grained tannins that are framed by lovely layer of acidity thats provides a wonderful sense of freshness through the finish. Overall, this is a lovely Lalande de Pomerol that should hit its stride after another year or two in bottle.
