Chantelune is found on the highest Garonne Gravel hill in Margaux. It produces just 400 cases from less than a hectare. The Vineyards at Château Chantelune have been developed by Jose Sanfins is small in size allowing him to produce small quantities of exceptional fruit, therefore the best quality wine. The 2010 offers beautiful fresh blackberries, dark cherries, tobacco, stony minerals and pretty violets which make up the gorgeous clean and fresh bouquet. This is refined and elegant but it's also very well structured and focused with a really pretty finish that shows plenty of length. Overall this is a great wine from an epic vintage at an affordable price. (Best 2015-2027) - October, 2012 (JD)
