The 2017 'Les Roches' Côtes du Rhône is outstanding. This 100% Syrah bursts open with seductive aromatic of blueberry cobbler and kirsch cherries, which are laced with sweet spices, violets and hints licorice. On the palate this is full and rich, with a gorgeous round, opulent texture that is layered with incredibly ripe dark fruits and spices which continue to expand through the plush, mouth coating finish. Utterly delicious today, however this should also offer a drinking window that spans a decade, but thee is certainly no need to wait any longer.
