The 2015 Côtes-du-Rhône Plan de Dieu is an excellent showing from Benjamin Farjon. This begins with aromatics of raspberries and plums which come together with smoke, gravel and hints of white pepper. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a lovely silky mouthfeel, underlined by streaks of minerality. The finish is long and velvety, marked by flavors of red fruits and wet stones. While this is drinking beautifully right now, it should also continue to evolve over the next few years.
