The 2020 Chateau Richebon 'Cuvee les Grands Monteils' begins with aromas of ripe dark cherries, roasted plums which are woven together with spices, tobacco, spring florals and gravel nuances all coming together in the glass. On the palate this medium-bodied is well-balanced, and displays excellent focus and depth with a wonderful texture. This continues to impress with a lovely mix of spices, ripe dark fruits and even tobacco notes which continue to linger on the long finish. Give this beauty a few years before it hits its stride.
