1986 brought ideal weather conditions which meant that by harvest time the grapes were very ripe, forming small bunches with highly concentrated flavors. The wine has "Classic" Mouton aromas bringing wonderful notes of black currant and blackberries layered with a touch of black licorice, espresso and some herbs. The fruit is dense, concentrated and rich, coming in layers with an amazingly long finish. This is the definition of a great Bordeaux and will be best now through 2025.
