The 2013 'Morgeot' Chassagne-Montrachet is a gorgeous wine from Olivier Chanzy; one of Burgundy’s up-and-coming winemakers. It opens with flavors of lemon zest, white peach, floral blossoms, flinty minerals and a hint of underlying oak. This beautifully textured Chassagne-Montrachet displays wonderful minerality and a lovely touch of acidity leading into the finish. While this is excellent today, it will surely continue to evolve and open up, becoming much more expressive with just a bit of bottle age. (Best 2017-2027) - December, 2015 (JD)
