The 2011 ‘Les Chaillees’ is dazzling with intense aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, roasted coffee, fig, moist earth, iron, pepper and crushed violets, which are just some of the nuances that it delivers. The texture is soft and silky transitioning to a seamless finish. At this stage it lacks the depth to bring it to the next level, but overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous Cornas from a top producer which is drinking well right out of the gate, and should also age beautifully.
