The 2016 Domaine de l'Espigouette Vacqueyras is an absolutely fantastic showing. It instantly opens to inviting aromas of kirsch cherries and raspberries which come together with pepper, spices, violets and hints of licorice. On the palate this possesses a medium body with lovely overall balance and a gorgeous texture which expands seamlessly across the palate. The finish is laced with cherries and spices which linger on. Showing excellent today, this should also continue to age well over the course of a decade.
