Coming from 64-year old vines and soils of Jurassic rock, clay and limestone, this yummy Premier Cru Burgundy shows notes of blueberry, black cherry, purple rose petals, new leather and toasted ground cinnamon. It displays medium ruby in the glass with a silver rim and has a scrumptious palate of black raspberry, volcanic earth and just a touch of butterscotch on the back palate. The acidity is high, the silky tannins are medium and perfectly integrated and the finish is lengthy and balanced. It reminds me of Christmas in a glass and it’s stunning. Drink over the next decade or more.
