The 2019 Chateau Lamartine Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 'Hommage' opens with aromas of cherries and blackberries followed by spices, cedar, tobacco, licorice and minerals all taking shape. On the palate this medium-bodied possesses notable acidity with a slightly austere character on the finish before leaving behind flavors of cherries, spices and licorice. Appealing now, but should be at its best in another year or two.
