The 2016 Château de la Chapelle opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackberry and cherries which are woven together with tobacco and toast nuances. This medium-bodied red is nicely polished with a lovely touch of acidity at it core keeping it fresh as it heads into the finish. This should continue to drink well with some short-term cellaring.
