The 2014 Chavot from Julie Balagny opens with gorgeous aromas of cherries, pomegranate, spring flowers, with a bit of smoke, fresh herbs, and lovely soil tones. On the palate the wine is really fresh and elegant, with a succulent core, lovely earthy flavors and pure red fruit. It all comes together in a long, lightly tannic and tangy finish.
