The 2020 'Vieilles Vignes' Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil from Domaine Olivier opens to aromas of cherries and wild berries woven together with spices, white pepper, tobacco, floral and wild herb nuances all coming together in the glass. This is medium-bodied and well balanced with a lovely fine, silky texture backed by gorgeous acidity leading into the finish. This will be accessible early on, but should continue to evolve nicely with some short-term cellaring.
