The 2021 Costieres de Nimes 'Gladiatuer' opens to aromas of ripe black raspberries and dark plums, followed by crushed violets, spices, pepper and hints of black licorice nuances which all begin to take shape as it unwinds in the glass. This possesses a round texture that ends with a velvety finish which lingers. This is an lovely Costières-de-Nîmes that is already drinking beautifully today should continue to impress as it evolves in bottle over the next few years.
