The 2011 Chateau de Macard is really developing well in bottle since I last tasted a year ago. Today the wine is delivering aromas of dark cherries and blackberries followed by spices, pain grille, tar and hints of violets. It offers a gorgeous velvety texture with a generous dose of dark fruits straight through the finish. Composed of 50% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. *Tasted at Château (Best 2015-2018) - June, 2014 (JD)
