Another fantastic red Burgundy from Maison Evenstad, this one the 2019 Volnay Premier Cru Les Brouillards which displays a shimmering brick-ruby core with a blueish rim in the glass. The nose is wonderfully fragrant, very floral, and uniquely expressive, with hints of cracked pink peppercorn and dried sage hiding among the crushed strawberry core. It delivers a well-defined and structured palate, helped by the lemony acidity and spicy finish.
