The 2015 'Blanc Fumé de Pouilly' is a simply gorgeous wine which was sourced from younger-vines in Dagueneau’s Silex soils. As this slowly unwinds in the glass, it begins to release inviting aromatics of citrus, ripe gooseberries and tropical fruit nuances, which are laced with stoney minerals, dried herbs and hints of honey blossoms. On the palate this is beautifully textured, with wonderful depth and an opulent mouthfeel, that is cut by streaks of minerality and vibrant acidity. It continues to impress with its wonderful combination of precision, elegance and complexity throughout. While this is absolutely fantastic today, it should also go on to drink beautifully for years to come.
