The 2016 Château Tertre de Viaud Côtes du Bourgbegins with inviting aromatics of cherries, redcurrants, tobacco, wild herbs, tobacco, spices and a mineral character that all takes shape in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, polished tannins and a mineral-laced cored which expands through the finish. This is accessible now and should start to evolve beautifully with some extended bottle age over the course of the next five years.
