The 2018 Chateau Monestier La Tour is composed of perdominately Cabernet Franc and Merlot with a touch of Malbec. It begins with inviting aromas of blackberries and dark cherries, which are woven together with exotic spices, tobacco, licorice, earthy nuances and a mocha character adding further complexity. On the palate this is full-bodied and layered with a beautifully polished texture along with notable depth. Everything comes to an end on the long, velvety finish. Open and expressive, this is a fantasic showing that is already drinking fantastic.
