The 2014 Château Brillette is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot which opens to aromas of blackberries and dark cherries, leather, spices, minerals along with touches of floral and eucalyptus all coming together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with wonderful overall balance and a velvety texture which leads into the mineral driven finish. This is excellent right now and should continue to drink well with some short-term cellaring. (Best 2017-2024) - February, 2017 (JD)
