The 2016 Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes is a beauty. Fresh and inviting with vibrant aromas of raspberries and plums along with spices, minerals, lavender all taking shape. On the palate this beautifully balanced with a gorgeous round, velvety tannins, backed by core of juicy red fruits and spices which persist on the long finish. While its freshness makes it appealing in its youth, this should evolve nicely with a few more years of bottle age and become even more compelling as it develops its secondary characteristics.
