The 2016 Domaine de la Côte l'Ange is composed from 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre with a large number of parcels being sourced from clay and limestone soils with worn pebbles. The wine itself is simply outstanding offering inviting aromas of both red and dark fruits with nuances of earth, violets, meat, minerals, thyme and pepper all adding further complexity. Medium-bodied and well structured with a deep mineral-laced core. It possesses excellent depth and notable acidity all the way through the finish. This is drinking sensational upon release and will show even better when it hits its stride in a just a few years.
