The 2016 'Les Clefs d'Or Les Craus Centenaires' is composed of 100% Old Vine Grenache this absolutely stunning wine stands amongst the finest of this vintage. Simply stunning from the second the cork is pulled and only improves with air contact. Aromatics of ripe black raspberries, dark cherries, exotic spices, savory herbs, roasted coffee and hints of smoke all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus to full-bodied with outstanding depth and concentration. It continues to impress with its deep core, outstanding balance and round voluptuous texture through the long, supple finish. Absolutely outstanding now and should continue to drink exceedingly well for more than a decade. Given its quality it is certainly one of the best values in this vintage.
