The 2016 ‘La Centenaire’ is composed of 80% old vine Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah with remaining 5% from other AOC allowed grape varieties. It begins with inviting aromas of black raspberries, kirsch cherries, spices and some earthy nuances all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium body with wonderful freshness and acidity along with notable concentration through the supple, mouth watering finish. Outstanding now, but allow this some time and it will show even better.
