The 2016 Domaine de Père Caboche Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Creation d'Emilie' opens to an inviting and extreamly complex aromas of black cheries, red plums, garrigue, white pepper, licorice and exotic spices all taking shape. This is beautifully structured with excellent overall balance, underlined with lovely touch of acidity. Flavors of plums, dark chocolate and licorice develop on the palate and leave as lasting impression. While it shows some youthful appeal, it will ultimately require additional bottle age and should go on to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade.
