The 2016 ‘Vignes Centenaires’ is a sensational showing which is composed of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. It instantly opens to aromas of kirsch cherries, dark plums, spice cake, white pepper, wild herbs, licorice and minerals all bursting from the glass. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous medium-plus body backed by beautiful round, velvety tannins. It goes on to demonstrate outstanding overall balance, depth and focus through the long finish. While this is excellent now, it should also age remarkably well over the next decade and beyond.
