The 2015 Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a beautiful showing. Fresh and inviting, with vibrant aromas of blackberries, red currants and plums, along with baking spices, dried herbs and spring flowers all taking shape. On the palate this well-balanced, with velvety tannins framing the core of juicy black/red fruits and spice flavors that persist through the silky finish. While this is certinaly appealing in its youth, it should also contine to develop beautifully in the cellar.
