The 2017 'Les Hesperides' is another sensational effort which is composed of 50% Grenache and 50% Mourvèdre that was sourced from less than 1-hectare of vines which were planted in 1950 in the Northern hillsides of "Les Bédines". As this begins to unwind in to glass it releases wonderful aromas of pretty red fruits and red plums which are woven together with spice cake, black olives, herbs and licorice. On the palate this is full-bodied with a gorgeous round velvety texture that is beautifully concentrated and balanced as it heads into the seamless finish. This is beautiful today and should become even more compelling as it evolves over time, that said, it is the least accessible of the three reds at the moment.
