The 2017 Château Sixtine is composed of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre. It opens to inviting aromas of raspberries and red berries, which are woven together with licorice, spices, damp gravel, iron and lavender nuances that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium to full-bodied texture, structured with well-polished tannins and outstanding overall balance with notable length. Classy and sophisticated, this beautifully made wine should age remarkably well.
