The 2014 ‘L’Insolite’ Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine de Saint-Paul is 100% Syrah from 40-year-old vines. It opens to aromas if black raspberries and dark plums laced with pepper, spices, forest floor and savory nuances all taking shape. This is beautifully structured with excellent overall balance, backed by a racy core, which keeps it fresh and inviting through the lingering finish.
