The 2015 ‘Le Miocène’ Châteauneuf-du-Pape is another fantastic release from Domaine Grand Veneur in this vintage. The blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre instantly begins to impress with gorgeous aromas of fresh red and dark fruits which fill the glass as nuances of black olive, herbs, licorice, spices and dried loam add lovely complexity. On the palate this shows lovely elegance through a medium-plus body which is beautifully balanced and focused. The finish is long leaving behind flavors of red fruits and spices lingering.
