The 2016 Clos de L'Oratoire des Papes Châteaunuf-du Pape Blanc is a beautiful showing. It begins with pretty aromatics of lemon zest, crushed almond, asian pear, honey and orange blossoms. It has a lovely flavor profile of citrus and orchard fruit flavors with an elegant mouthfeel and a blast of acidity at the end. This will certainly benifit from some time in the cellar and take on some nice secondary characteristics over the course of next decade.
