The 2016 Cuvèe Barberini Blanc is a beautiful blend of Roussanne and Clairette which was aged in new oak barrels. It opens to a very aromatic profile, with aromas of pineapple, honey, elderflower, buttered almonds and tropical fruits all soaring from the glass. There is a presence of new oak, but its very well integrated. Round and rich with a core of delicious ripe fruits which comes to an end with a mouth coating finish. This is a tremendous wine and will likely continue to evolve over the next decade and even beyond.
