This Mâcon Azé is made from 30 year old vines exposed to the South and West. Fermented in stainless steel and with full malolactic, it’s matured on lees for one year. The result is a lively wine, with aromatics of lemon zest, acacia flowers, dried mushroom and wet stones. On the palate this is nicely balanced with a lovely texture backed by a core of citrus fruits and minerals, which persist through the finish. Overall, this is an easy going accessible chardonnay that is delightful right now. (Best 2017-2020) - April, 2017 (JD)
