The 2016 'Copa Santa' from Domaine Clavel is a blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache. It opens to aromas of dark berries, and cherries which are woven together with white pepper, lavender, wild herbs and earthy nuances. On the palate this is medium-bodied with lovely overall balance and focus leading up to the silky finish. A lovely showing that should offer short-term drinking window.
