The 2017 Fleurie from Yvon Metras is utterly brilliant. Bright and complex, this begins with gorgeous aromas of wild berries, cranberries, minerals, fresh cut violets and dried exotic spices which all take shape. This medium-bodied red is elegant and beautifully balanced with wonderful acidity framing the core of delicious red fruits and spices that persist through the long juicy finish. The 2017 is striking today, but also display the potential to age for years to come.
