The 2009 Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs Champagne is sourced from Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Oger villages. Fresh and energetic this leads with pretty aromatics of white flowers that combine with sourdough bread and Japanese pear that all come together brilliantly in the glass. Lithe and light on its feet, this continues to impress as it shows off shades of marzipan, fresh ginger and minerals that mingle with the bright orchard fruits that linger through the finish. While delightful now, this should also cellar nicely for the next five to ten years.
