The 2014 Château Lalande Villeneuve is showing excellent. Instantly opening to inviting aromas of dried cherries and dark plums are woven together with tobacco, spices and charcoal nuances which all come together in the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a gorgeous silky texture and lovely overall balance through the pretty finish. This is outstanding now, but should continue to cellar nicely for a few more years.
